Social and community involvement can be a powerful tool to help individuals become an active part of their local communities. Through two main areas – Core Support and Capital Building – those looking for assistance are able to access the resources they need, so that they may better engage with the world around them.
Core – Assistance with Social and Community Participation
Through this support, participants can take part in recreational activities and connect with their local community. It is tailored to meet the individual’s needs if they have a disability or specific goals, either at specialist centres or out in the broader community (at different levels of intensity).
However, funding does not cover expenses like event tickets for the participant nor payment of support staff present during social occasions.
