For people with permanent and significant disabilities, their families and carers, the NDIS offers individualised support by providing specialist disability accommodation (SDA). Approved by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), these solutions can be tailored to meet each person’s specific functional capacity or very high support needs. SDA could include an apartment, house unit or other building – although it is important to note that not everyone will require one for suitable housing options.
